Schedule, Location and Fees

Please book via my email contact or phone number (403) 903-7946.

I will make every effort to respond within 24 hrs on business days; I may not be able to return calls or messages on weekends. The Distress Centre Phone number may be reached at: (403)266-HELP. Please note that, due to the part time nature of my hours, supportive or crisis contact in between sessions is not possible. I am open to discussing any concerns you may have about this in person.

My fees are $140/hr  by cash, personal cheque, or E-transfer. I will provide you with a receipt for your payment.

Receipts may be submitted to a private insurance or benefits bank (depending on the specific terms of the policy); sessions are not necessarily covered and are not covered by Alberta Health Care.

The Canadian OT association website encourages clients to write letters that ask employers or insurance companies to improve coverage for Occupational Therapy services.  If you wish my services to be more accessible to people like yourself in future, feel free to do so.

Self Care through an OT lens

OT has a reputation for pointing out practical things as life-giving and foundational – like ‘Brush your Teeth’, ‘Eat’, ‘Wash the Dishes’. Yet OT has always been unconventional in that it has long included “how” we do things, not just what we do or when. The intangible “hows” are often central.

So I like this OT FB group posting. (And speaking of remembering unconventional “activities”, the below link on Grounding 2 has been re-placed. Sometimes a poem is essential before any tooth brushing can happen: Billy likely  agrees.)
